Returns
How long do I have to make a return?
If you would like to return or exchange items you received at Des Moines Mercantile for whatever reason, we’re here to help! We offer returns on items within 30 days of purchase. You can return your product for store credit or a refund to the original payment method.
Store credit will be given If: you paid with cash and do not have a receipt, if you do not have the card that you paid with and do not have a receipt, if you are returning something paid for with a gift card.
What items can't be returned?
- Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Returned items must be in their original packaging.
- Returned items must have no visible signs of wear, use or damage.
- Food items (including coffee and tea) are not returnable.
How do I make a return?
Returns can be completed in-person at the shop or, in the case of items purchased online, can be initiated online.
For online returns, please complete the following steps:
- Email hello@desmoinesmercantile.com with the subject line “Return Requested” and your order confirmation number.
- Print the prepaid return shipping label that you will receive by email.
- Send all items back to us using the label provided.
How do I receive a refund or store credit?
You will receive your refund or store credit immediately for items returned in store. For items returned by mail, a refund or store credit will be provided, less the return shipping costs, after the shipped items have been returned.
