Idyllwild: Standing tall about the desert valley below is the mighty San Jacinto range. A sandy, harsh landscape of rocks, joshua trees and sagebrush leads up to the base of the mountains. At the top, grassy fields give way to pine and cedar forests. This area holds a really special place in our hearts, and we’re glad to share this fragrance with everyone. Dry, woody notes of Texas cedarwood mix with herbal sage, earthy vetiver, and a bright citrus finish.

Joshua Tree: The open plains of Joshua Tree, CA are dotted with enormous boulders, cacti, and the strange trees that give the region its name. Joshua Tree has always attracted artists, visionaries, and those who are drawn to the harsh landscape and all of its peculiarities. Our Norden Joshua Tree incense is made with a complex blend of dry, woody hinoki, resinous juniper, eucalyptus, and extracts from herbal desert plantlife.

Ojai: The Ojai valley rests quietly in California’s Ventura county. Our first visit to Ojai came in late winter, and the scent of decaying grass, forest, earthy balsams and resins, and the smoke from burning palo santo wood enchanted us. Based off of our olfactory memories of Ojai, this fragrance is a mix of balsamic frankincense, earthy patchouli, and the resinous citrus, woody scent of burning palo santo.
