Valen-Pie Party & Candle Making Class

Pie Bird Pies and Des Moines Mercantile are teaming up to host a special Valen-pies Party on Friday, February 14. Join us for an evening celebrating all things sweet and pink at Des Moines Mercantile from 6:30-8:30pm.

Sip on sherbet punch (made with sherbet from Pints by Beth! NA version or punch with sparkling wine), snack on a heart-shaped hand pie (you get both double chocolate nutella and strawberry champagne), and make your very own candle. We will lead you through the candle making process as you pick and mix your seasonal-inspired scents—pie-inspired if you want!

And it gets even sweeter! We've carefully curated a collection of vintage glassware and baking tins to use as vessels for our candles. Think pink depression-era and mid century glass bowls and tea cups, milk glass, red fiestaware, heart-shaped tins, fluted jello molds, and more! Each candle will be unique, and you can choose a variety of vessels to make your candles in. We thought this would be an adorable and sustainable way to make these candles extra special. 

There will also be time for private shopping at the end of the evening. We can’t wait to see you there! ❤️
